2026 Field Day
June 27-28 2026
Location: Memorial Park near flagpole Red Wing MN Official Transmit start time 1800 UTC (1:00pm Saturday) end time is 1799 UTC (1:00 Sunday)
Setup starts around 8AM Saturday and teardown around 1 on Sunday.
Plans are underway for this year’s Field Day event. We will have our standard 2 station setup, with a GOTA (Get On The Air) station for visitors without a license who would like to try out the fun of HAM Radios. Lots of operators on hand to answer questions and help out if you have a handheld radio but can’t figure out how it works. You don’t have to have a license to listen.
If you want to operate from your home, you can add your contacts to the Club and boost our Club totals.

GOTA (Get On The Air) is a chance for non-license people to learn to get on the air and make some contacts with the help of a Licensed Radio Operator (legally) We will have instructors on hand to show you what to do and work with you to give it a try. You can tell people you talked to operators in California, Texas, Canada or maybe even India or Japan! the world is open for contacts!! Open to all ages Give it a try!!
This year will include seminars on Antennas and POTA , Also new will be trophies for the most contacts made during field day event for the team of operator and contact recorder (2 trophies) Be ready to get on the air and make those contacts. Software will keep track of team contacts.
Winners will be announced at August meeting at ELC
